On August 1st, 2023, High Forest Township rezoned the 32-acre parcel from A-2; Agricultural Protection District to AgRC – LiLi; Agricultural Resource Commercial, Land Intensive Low Impact District.

The proposed building will be located immediately to the north of the applicant’s home on a separate parcel, as shown on Olmsted County property records maps. The applicant is requesting one additional access to Paint Road NW, a private road. The MM Special District permits dog kennels as an allowed use. The application does not include sanitary sewer, water, or office space improvements for the proposed building. The applicant has proposed that employees use the existing restroom facilities and office space at the current residence. It is proposed that all employees will reside at the existing residence. Please note that this area is covered by an orderly annexation agreement.

An application has been submitted to change the zoning from A-2 (Agricultural District) to HC (Highway Commercial District) for a 10.00-acre parcel of property owned by Matthew Dohrmann. The parcel has been improved with a residence and two accessory buildings. The agriculturally zoned parcel is shown as “Urban Service” on the Olmsted County Land Use Plan Map. The reason for the request is to allow for the operation of a commercial business on this property. Mr. Dohrmann’s property has been identified as an area to be included in an Orderly Annexation Agreement.

An application has been submitted for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to operate Crystal Clear Services at the location mentioned above. Crystal Clear Services is owned and operated by Mr. Dohrmann and provides a number of services in a multi-state area. It is intended for the business will have up to 15 employees. Operating hours will vary depending on the season and snow plowing schedules.
